NASCAR...........6th Annual Boss' TrackBash!

This past Saturday was the 6th Annual Bash Trackside at Charlotte Motor Speedway!

As is tradition, we hit the car-train out there at 10am and had the campsite set-up at 11am on the dot! That's when the Code Blue Smoothies were cracked open, the snacks were in full-swing......then the real kick-off took place, the raising of the flag(S) and the donning of the B.E.E.R. Suspenders!

Throughout the day we had everyone swing by for some tailgating fun, we broke out the BAGS, the football, a few card games that involved more Blue Smoothies........and then it was time to head to the track for the main event!

This year it opened up with the NASCAR Nextel Open, then we got the treat of the night; watching our very own Allan "A-town" Howe drive Ryan Newman and crew around the track for driver introductions! A-town you are the man....officially!

This year's VIP Guests for da' Boss' tailgate were; B.O.B. "da Boss" Frazer, Ape "da Boss'" Lady Frazer, Bethy "DDP" Frazer, Jen "all of this" Schex, Mike "SuffDaddy" Shufford, J. "Magnum" Barr, Jen "the first-timer" Barr, Mike "Po'k Chop" Jackson, Beth "CartWheels" Jackson, DJ "D$Money" Jackson, Chad "Donk" York, Kelly "K-Sheezy" Strong, Matt & Sarah "the YoungGeezy's" Gourlay, Tim "#88" Jones, Dan "the nephew" Henning, Allan "A-town" Howe, Rebecca "RBeezy" Dillingham, Julie "JaySean" Howe, and Richard & Pam "the RP's - Regular Patrons" Howe.........plus a few swing by guests as well.

*footnote: Tyler "Supaman" Creech also made a special guest appearance...pretty crazy considering he was in Missouri at the time! (see below right)

All in all this year did not stray from being historical........many quotes, endless laughter, a few won't be future mentioned moments, and some great trips to hauler alley!

The highlight of the day though was a few of having a photog session with #3 Dale Sr.....R.I.P. #3!

#3: the Intimidator.......actually a guy named Bill.....but dang what similarity!

The Luck of a Lifetime.....D.Ruck at a Private VIP gig!

Well yesterday was a good day all the way thru! The morning started with a 4 miler with my sidekick R-Teezy, then it was off to FT for a quick trainer session, then off to Birkdale for a round of white ball at the last second with my TommyB man Lane (always love some spur of the moment free white ball)!

After have a pretty horrendous day on the course Lane and I hit up the Gallway Hooker for some after round snacks and adult beverages. That's when the day went crazy.....I get a call from BH alerting me that Darius Rucker was in town for a private gig to be filmed by SPEED Channel, ends up Jimmie Johnson #48 is hosting it; alas the Jimmie Jam!

We do a little detective work and find out it is NOT open to the public and tickets don't even exist...that's when I put it into high gear and got back down to the Queen City and hit the sidewalk outside The Fillmore just hoping I could score some VIP passes of some sort. Ape, BH, KBeezy and I stood outside for almost 2.5 hours. We had a few "almost scores" thanks to our man at Fox News Rising "Wilson from Wilson's World" but we kept hitting road blocks. Finally as showtime approached Wilson came back out to let us know he'd tried everything but with no luck.....that's when our new best friend Bill came through. Bill overheard how disappointed I was and said, "hey what are you guys looking for passes to get in?"...I quickly responded, "yeah man am a huge DRuck fan and would even be willing to pay for passes"....Bill snapped back with a "hold on a minute" and then he took off out to the parking lot. Finally I see the man himself "Wild Bill" coming down the street with 4 (yes 4) lanyard passes to get us in.

We hit the line, got through the doors, got our wristbands and found out drinks were on the house.....we then set up about 2 people from the stage to enjoy this view all night long while D.Ruck, as he always does, just killed the show! The Voice of the South, Darius Rucker, probably is the finest entertainer of all time. Lyrically, musically, and all around he always amazes at live shows and you can tell this SC native just loves what he does...........best news of the night he has already put the finishing touches on his new album out later this year. Oh yeah and eat your heart out folks we got to hear some of the new stuff.............it's stellar!

So here is to one of the best days in "A Day in da Life of "da Boss"! Yesterday was simply like a dream.........or as D.Ruck would say it was "History in the Making"!

..........Now my next big event is the August 11th Hootie & the Blowfish show in Charleston, SC......so finally I will get to hear all the classics again, but loved the "Let Her Cry" teaser last night........

Enjoy folks, this is as good as it gets! Thanks for all the fun and memories D.Ruck.........you are dang unreal!

A Night at the BallPark in Honor of "GreyMan" (aka B-Radd)!

Well last weekend we hit the ole Knights Stadium to watch some baseball. Yes, I know, I am not a baseball fan, but when a great friend has a birthday......I am there!

B-Radd was turning the big 3-0! So he and CR threw a tailgate.......an ultimate 2 hour tailgate. The weather was a bit stifling, but we had something "domestic, light and cold" (thanks for the line Dierks Bentley) and great friends all out enjoying some fun, friends, and making memories.

So Happy Birthday B-Radd.....thanks for letting us all enjoy the celebration with you!

Back on the Horse (or actually on the Road)!

Miles: 2.25
Time: 15:12
Pace: 6:45

Finally it was time to get back on the horse and start logging some quality miles!

After a week of traveling the cart paths at Quail Hollow Country Club at the ole Wachovia Championship (to me it will always be this and not the ugly, non-exciting name Quail Hollow Championship......yeah cause that's original) it was time to put down the 16 oz $6 brewskies and over-priced BBQ sandwiches and back to lacing up the ole Mizuno's!

So it was time for a bodyweight workout and a few miles in the neighborhood "BWE" aka Beverly Woods East. Afterwards it was time to shower up, put on the CompresSport CompSocks from my buddy C "the Dream" Angell head to BJs and prep for the "Frazer Patio Bash: Part Uno" to take place this coming Saturday.

Keep tuned for some pics from the cart paths and grounds of Quail.....
